Strategic

  • Drafting the GSB strategy for the Corporate Segment in Vietnam, leveraging the strength of MUFG’s deep footprint and execution of the same.

  • Influence all relevant local, regional, and global stakeholders to deliver the MUFG network for our GCIB Corporate Client base in Vietnam.

  • Within a fast evolving and competitive landscape differentiate MUFG’s positioning and proposition and relay the same to all stakeholders to drive growth for the GSB business in Vietnam.

Financial

  • Own the Corporate GSB P&L and deliver growth in Vietnam. Drive results across the GSB franchise, in close collaboration with all stakeholders across coverage and products in Vietnam.

  • Increase market share of the Bank’s GSB franchise in Vietnam at the same time to focus on profitability and return.

  • Monitor the corporate portfolio risks to minimize any adverse impact of the financial performance of the GSB franchise in Vietnam.

  • Coordinate and consolidate target settings with all stakeholders by deep analysis on the corporate GSB portfolio in Vietnam; and report performance progress and results of GSB franchise in Vietnam to all stakeholders.

  • Proactively alert management on any significant risk to performance.

Customer

  • Drive client intensity and inculcate a culture of client ownership within the GSB team in Vietnam.

  • Anticipate as well as be sensitive to shifting customer expectations and lead the business through cycles, to ensure that MUFG maintains its competitive edge in Vietnam.

  • Engage relevant Product Office & Credit to create new products and modify existing products to meet client demands in Vietnam.

  • Strong stakeholder management with key stakeholders within MUFG and externally.

  • Harness the power of the MUFG global network through leveraging collaboration with the Partner Banks.

People

  • Build a long-term sustainable GSB team in Vietnam, which will deliver the corporate GSB strategy.

  • Create a collaborative culture that reflects the MUFG culture principles.

  • To lead, motivate and inspire colleagues and team members

  • To source, develop and retain talents.

Other/Control

  • Risk Management: Ensure that all business risks are managed and reported / escalated as appropriate.

  • Embody the MUFG culture principles and required standards in relation to compliance and regulatory affairs.

  • Provide information as required within MUFG in relation to GSB Vietnam

  • Be an advocate for change and champion the transformation agenda within MUFG Vietnam.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Minimum 10 years of corporate coverage banking experience in Vietnam

  • Demonstrated business leadership skills, having handled complex geographies.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills to collaborate with other departments.

  • Excellent communication skill in both English and Vietnamese

  • Strong coaching, mentoring and leadership skills.

  • Broad and extensive knowledge of Corporate Banking products and services.
