Job Overview

The EWM Implementation Analyst is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) role responsible for Warehouse Management (EWM/WM) user training & development, application development, EWM implementation, and system support. This position will gather business requirements and integrate resources to design, develop, implement, and support SAP (and related applications) training and process change management with a focus on warehousing and associated functions (receiving, shipping inventory, etc.).

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordination of EWM site training activities, schedules and resources

  • Perform EWM training of site operators, SMEs and Super Users for EWM implementation

  • Provide business system integration change management support and solution design expertise within the Supply Chain business function.

  • Manage, control and communicate changes regarding the EWM training and implementation schedule and timeline.

  • Liaise with Operations and IT teams to ensure communication, training schedules and EWM implementation plans are effectively known and understood

  • Identify operational requirement gaps and assist in identifying executable systemic solutions

  • Provide system and business process change leadership for related EWM functions.

  • Perform SAP testing or other business application configuration guidance as required to support functional requirements.

  • Collaborate with implementation site leadership, warehouse management, and warehouse operators throughout implementation timeline.

  • Participating in testing activities including, but not limited to, creating test scenarios, cases and scripts, as well as executing unit testing, integration testing, regression testing and user acceptance testing.

  • Work with infrastructure resources to identify, deploy, and support mobile solutions integration

  • Participate and take a leadership role when necessary within EWM project management team

  • Interact with material suppliers on labeling requirements, business documentation needs and issues

  • Collaborating with other team members to design and deploy effective IT solutions

  • Ensuring stability and continuity in warehouse operations

Required Education and Experience

  • Degree in Operations Management, Logistics, Business or a similarly related field; or 5 years of direct experience in a similar role in place of a degree.

  • 2 years or more of SAP user experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.

  • Strong teamwork approach to problem solving with the ability to make sound, independent decisions based on functional expertise and experience.

  • Ability to provide leadership, support, and direction.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot and problem solve beyond routine issues.

  • Flexibility to adjust to changing schedules, timelines and priorities.

  • Positive and growth oriented communication ability.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • 5+ years operations experience with SAP WM/EWM.

  • In-depth understanding of SAP functional modules beyond /EWM/WM/IM

  • Extensive functional understanding of warehousing processes & best practices, and an ability to implement them in software solutions

  • Hands-on experience in core SAP EWM & WM areas: warehouse processes, inbound & outbound material processing, put away and picking strategies, physical inventory & cycle count procedure, wave management, Kanban setup, interim and virtual storage areas, output configuration, storage and handling unit management.

  • SAP or other Warehouse Management System full lifecycle implementation.

Working Conditions

• Work is performed across multiple sites, office setting, warehouse floor (cold environment) and in various locations as needed.

• Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature extremes from approximately 35ºF to 100ºF; noise levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and moving machinery.

• Travel is necessary, potentially up to 50% for individual site schedule.
