Job Title: Sustaining Field Service Technician (Night Shift)
Job Description
This role involves sustaining, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment onsite. The successful candidate will be required to wear a bunny suit and respirator and will take a spirometer test to assess breathing capabilities. The role may involve wearing a respirator as much as 70% of the time and working with dirty tools and around hazardous materials. The position demands a heavier troubleshooting experience, with a 50/50 split between electrical and mechanical issues, and the ability to ask for help and use logic and resources to fix problems.
Responsibilities
Provide installation and service support to ensure the continuation and expansion of thermal management systems (TMS) business.
Maintain and troubleshoot large equipment and machinery.
Maximize output using constraint management techniques while sustaining process and equipment issues.
Train and cross-train team members to build a self-sustaining team.
Essential Skills
Good problem-solving ability.
Self-starter capable of managing own activities and supporting team activities.
Basic math skills.
Flexibility and capability in handling multi-task operations with attention to detail.
Computer literacy, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Email.
Experience in electrical, mechanical, troubleshooting, and repair.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associates degree preferred in technical, automotive/diesel, or related field.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Electro-mechanical experience (2+ years).
Experience with schematics is a plus.
Experience with hand tools/power tools and multi-meter preferred.
Strong communication skills to work with both clients and team.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable in a clean room environment and getting into clean room attire (bunny suit).
Comfortable wearing a respirator.
Comfortable working in confined spaces and standing for long periods.
Comfortable working with hazardous materials and chemicals.
