Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join as an Account Manager - Clinical West. In this sales role, you will be responsible for achieving annual revenue goals for both consumables and capital within the clinical segment of the Microbiology Division. This is a unique opportunity to work with world-class products, including Culture Media, Viral Transport Media, and Capital Instrumentation, such as APAS Automation and Sensititre™.

As an Account Manager, you will collaborate with technical sales teams to deliver presentations and demonstrations, coordinate site visits, and achieve an annual quota for the assigned region. You will focus on targeting existing accounts to position our media and automation solutions, prospect for new business, and purposefully convert business to the MBD solution.

Joining a team of 7 Account Managers in the West Region, you will work closely together with the Regional Business Manager, Instrument Sales Specialist, Key Account Manager, and an Inside Sales Representative. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying prospective buyers of Thermo Fisher products and services to craft new accounts and grow market share

  • Building new contracts and closing orders with end users and purchasing departments

  • Providing accurate and complete customer data and sales information into the company sales database

  • Delivering technical and business presentations at trade shows and customer events

  • Meeting key performance indicators set by sales leadership

To thrive in this role, candidates should have a degree in a Life Science field, preferably Biology, or equivalent experience in the industry. Familiarity with selling in a clinical diagnostic setting is necessary. Ideally, candidates will have 5+ years of consultative sales experience in a technical environment or strong technical knowledge gained as a lab supervisor or technician. Proficiency in English and the ability to travel frequently within the assigned territory are also required.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Washington is $70,300.00–$105,400.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
