Purpose of the Role :

Are you an experienced Quality Technician looking to take the next step in your career? We are looking for a driven and analytical Quality Engineer with a strong background in chemistry to join our team in Hillegom. In this role, you will work closely with the Quality Manager, R&D, and regulatory teams to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. You will play a crucial part in developing test methods, conducting validations, and overseeing product release to meet global regulatory and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Coordinate microbiological checks and manage batch release processes.

  • Lead stability test programs in collaboration with R&D teams.

  • Oversee and maintain analytical equipment such as (HS)-GC, IR, and HPLC.

  • Develop and validate all required test methods and processes.

  • Lead analytical activities, including formulation adjustments and root cause analysis.

  • Ensure that raw materials meet all necessary specifications through inbound inspections.

  • Conduct chemical analysis and troubleshooting for the blending department and field complaints.

  • Create validation processes and provide comprehensive quality reports to meet regulatory standards.

  • Ensure compliance with ISO22716:2007 and global certification requirements for product registration.

  • Lead analytical projects, manage procedures, and provide reports for assigned projects.

  • Perform second-tier release of raw materials, semi-finished, and finished goods.

  • Provide root cause analysis for any out-of-specification analytical results.

  • Maintain up-to-date lab-based QC documentation.

  • Support internal and external audit processes.

Main Activities :

  • Collaborate with Production, Chemical Development, Planning, and Purchasing departments.

  • Perform tasks accurately and meet required deadlines.

  • Ensure proper identification and management of non-conforming raw materials.

  • Use appropriate protocols to conduct required tests and provide guidance as needed.

Supporting Roles :

  • Conduct inbound quality checks of components.

  • Perform in-line quality checks.

  • Assist with R&D projects.

  • Troubleshoot production deviations.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry.

  • 2 to 5 years of quality experience.

  • At least 3 years of experience in analytical testing.

  • Knowledge of GMP and ISO quality systems.

  • Experience working in a regulated industry.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook).

  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.*

  • 2+ years of experience working in an ISO and GMP environment.
