BAE Systems Project Manager - Supply Assurance Management in Hill AFB, Utah
Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking an exceptional Project Manager for an exciting opportunity to Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Supply Assurance Management efforts.
The Project Manager will oversee and manage the operational aspects of project(s) and serve as a liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets, manage schedules and prepare status reports. Assess issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develop mechanisms for monitoring progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.The Project Manager will work with a highly skilled team providing critical logistical support and data analysis expertise to the ICBM Systems Directorate, United States Air Force.
Additional responsibilities include:
Accountable to Program Manager for tasking objectives and schedule
Serves as a focal point for all assigned projects
Work with assigned customer sites and Supply Chain Management (SCM) representatives to develop materiel and logistics sustainment requirements for assigned project workload and integrates required actions to develop recommended Weapons Systems logistics support plans
Assist in the development of statistically driven indicators that provide model-based ways to predict supplier health, viability, and availability concerns
Monitor SCM and Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) impact on fleet-wide weapon system readiness and analyzes provisioning related degrades to identify problems and solutions to restore acceptable levels of support
Develop strategies to support, achieve, and exceed customer initiatives in the areas of materiel planning, pre-award and post-award contracting, quality assurance, and/or technical operations
Develop (and advocate for) solutions to parts availability issues impacting the aging weapon system.Acts as liaison between US Government personnel (MMIII Systems Directorate, Supply Chain Management, Defense Logistics Agency) and BAE Systems Inc. personnel
Utilize DLA, Department of Defense, Air Force, Commercial, data systems to provide customers and ISC insightful supply related analysis, issue/risk identification, and mitigation strategy development
Provide logistics support analysis critical to the development of supplier assurance model/system
Participate in working groups, review meetings, and executive forums to support analysis and decision making.Reviews and analyzes materiel stock levels/inventory and supporting special projects
Determine materiel procurement actions and screen for availability through authorized sources of supply
Become proficient in and Integrate the Ark.Ai vendor and supply data/analysis system provided by BAE Systems and its subcontractor, Govini
Develop solutions to problems of unusual complexity which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity and innovativeness. Challenges are frequently unique and solutions may serve as precedent for future decisions
Develop advanced concepts, techniques and standards. Develop new applications based on professional principles and theories
Review, monitor, and triages supplier issues
Serve as an advisor to senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations
Identify potential risks to the program and recommend actions to address unresolved risks
Develop comprehensive reports of supplier issues/concerns negatively affecting sustainment
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor s degree
5 years of working experience
Experience in supply management and logistical support functions such as supply, procurement, transportation, cataloging, provisioning, storage, and distribution.
Proficiency in DLA, DoD, Air Force, and ISC supply related data and analysis systems (i.e., Integrated Logistics System-Supply (ILS-S), Haystack, BLADE, FEDMALL etc.)
Experience with databases and ability to extract data detailing customer behavior and group performance relative to the behavior, and to analyze supply detractors
Broad understanding of the levels of repair philosophies for the military services and of how the philosophies impact materiel support
Understanding of the processes of the Military Service which the assigned WS Group supplies, and broad knowledge of inventory policy, procedure, automated systems and decision routines
Experience with integrated logistics support concepts, policies and procedures including maintenance, materiel support, support equipment, and other integrated elements
Experience applying established criteria to assess/monitor the effectiveness and efficiency of current processes and to identify areas for potential improvements
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft productivity suites (i.e., MS Word, EXCEL, MS Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Teams, etc.)
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Strong demonstrated leadership and communications skills
Possess a willingness to learn while also sharing your current knowledge/skills
Highly organized with acute attention to detail
Proactive, self-starter with a positive attitude
3 - 5 years of experience working for DLA or AF supply chain organizations
MMIII maintenance or logistics experience
Ability to analyze and interpret data
Understanding of supplier conditions, health and viability
Understanding of supplier Indicators and analysis
Understanding of supplier analytics and analysis
Understanding of risk management a risk mitigation strategies
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $92520 - $157320
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
