About This Job
Air and Space Force Solutions, a business unit within BAE Systems, has an opening for a Media Control Specialist at our Hill Air Force Base, Utah location. The selected candidate will join our Information Services team and have an important role in supporting our mission of Strategic Deterrence through continual improvement and innovation.
Key duties and responsibilities:
Overall tracking of all physical media
Interfacing with the government customer and internal staff on all physical media needs (distribution, configuration control numbers, classification, etc.)
Tracking/monitoring of data devices
Documenting transfer and perform quality assurance for all items transferred
Initiating and maintaining operations records/logs as required
Establishing and implementing schedules and priorities
Copying/storing of physical media
Lifecycle management
Physical media destruction
Performing physical audits
Assisting with process development and improvement
Reviewing and capture project task status updates
Other related duties as assigned

Clearance Requirement
This position requires an active final Secret clearance upon hire date. The applicant must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance. An active Top Secret clearance is preferred.
Certification Requirement
The applicant must meet DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II or higher certification requirements within 6 months of hire date.
Citizenship
Pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Education and Experience Requirement
A technical degree in computer science, or other related IT degree, and years of relevant experience for this position are as follows:
HS Diploma and 6 years experience
BS/BA Degree and 2 years experience
MS/MA Degree and 0 years experience
Additional Requirements
Experience tracking of all physical media
Strong communication skills (oral and written) as well as the ability to interact with team members, various levels of management, and internal clients with assorted levels of computer experience
Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment
A fast learner with a demonstrated ability to quickly learn technologies and understand unique system requirements
Previous experience completing and maintaining inventories

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Preferred skills include experience with any of the following:
Proven success in developing standards, process improvement, managing processes
Ability to review, analyze, document, and explain technical systems and data
Experience with IAVMs
General understanding of computer networks, hardware, databases, applications, security components, computer operations, and operating system maintenance
Understanding of the DoD environment and familiarity with the DoD Acquisition System
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $52470 - $89190
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
