Job Overview

The Operating Room Nurse provides direct patient care in a surgical setting in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Monitors and manages the patient and operative environment during surgery to maintain a safe environment, optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. At our Center for Children's Surgery, we treat the big things, the little things and everything in between. Our surgeons are world-renowned pioneers in the treatment of children and adolescents for any level of injury or illness. Our surgical team provides services in a range of locations that were built and designed to be the most healing environment for kids. We combine advanced technology, innovative research, the latest minimally invasive techniques and expert care to be consistently ranked among the top pediatric hospitals in the country. With the most advanced procedures for the youngest of patients, our surgery locations are destinations for surgery that is less invasive, with shorter recovery times and better outcomes. We deliver some of the best outcomes in the nation and the world, which we share with parents to help them make informed decisions about their child's car The South Campus Perioperative Services team performs approximately 3500 surgeries per year within these specialties ENT, Urology, Ortho, Plastics, and General Surgery. This position is eligible for relocation assistance, if relocating from 100 miles or greater. Department Name: South Campus Operating Room Job Status: full time, 40 hours per week, eligible for benefits Shift: Monday through Friday, days. Qualifications

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Experience: One year perioperative nursing experience or su cessful completion of a perioperative course Equivalency: Applicants with an Associate's Degree in Nursing who agree to obtain a BSN within 3 years from their start date may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor of Science (BSN) in Nursing Certification(s):BLS/CPR from the American Heart Association with at least 6 months left before expiration is required upon hire. Licensure(s):Current State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
