One Stop Property Maintenance Llc Turf Maintenance Supervisor in Highland Park, Michigan

Job Summary:

 

The Turf Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all turf management and maintenance activities to ensure the health, appearance, and functionality of grass areas across the facility. This role involves leading a team of maintenance workers, developing and implementing maintenance schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision and Leadership: Manage, train, and supervise a team of turf maintenance workers. Provide guidance, conduct performance evaluations, and address any issues or concerns within the team.
  • Turf Management: Develop and implement a comprehensive turf management plan, including mowing, fertilization, irrigation, and pest control. Monitor turf conditions and make adjustments as needed to maintain high standards of quality.
  • Equipment Management: Oversee the maintenance and repair of turf maintenance equipment and tools. Ensure all equipment is in good working condition and schedule regular servicing.
  • Scheduling and Planning: Create and manage maintenance schedules to optimize turf health and appearance. Plan and coordinate seasonal activities such as cleanups, repair, and winterization
  • Resource Management: Monitor expenditures and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure all turf maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with safety regulations and environmental guidelines. Conduct regular safety training and enforce proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of turf maintenance activities, including treatments and equipment usage.
  • Customer Service: Address and resolve any turf-related issues or complaints from facility users. Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry best practices, trends, and advancements in turf management. Implement new techniques and technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in turf management or grounds maintenance, with at least 1 years in a supervisory role.

Skills:

Strong leadership and team management abilities.

In-depth knowledge of turf management practices and principles.
