Robert Half Corporate Accounting Manager in Hickory, North Carolina

Description We are seeking a Corporate Accounting Manager to join our team located in Hickory, North Carolina. In this role, you'll be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our accounting functions, including financial transactions, account balances analysis, tax reporting, and compliance. You will also be working closely with the VP of Finance to ensure accurate and timely financial results in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other financial regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily activities in accounts payable, accounts receivable, capital assets, and general ledger

• Oversee the company's month-end close process and consolidation of financial results

• Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations, ensuring documentation controls are compliant

• Develop and maintain models to forecast consolidated balance sheet and cash flow statements to support forecast, budget, and 5-year plan

• Serve as the primary interface with the company’s banks and outside tax advisors, managing all facets of tax compliance

• Oversee credit and collection activities as the Credit Manager, reviewing and recommending revisions to credit limits

• Manage the annual audit planning, required schedule preparation, and field work documentation with external auditors and tax accountants

• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the company's ERP financial system and its integration with other modules, monitoring data integrity to minimize errors

• Ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and other financial regulatory requirements, and monitor GAAP changes for understanding and to ensure company compliance

• Manage the accounting team and ensure appropriate training and development

• Support the company budgeting process as directed by the VP of Finance Requirements

• Must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of corporate accounting.

• Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is necessary.

• Experience in auditing is required.

• CPA certification is mandatory.

• Must have experience with month-end close processes.

• Proficiency in managing and maintaining the general ledger is required.
