Fairview Range is seeking a Medical Imaging Assistant to join our Diagnostic Imaging team in Hibbing, MN.

The Medical Imaging Assistant provides diagnostic imaging support for patients with the knowledge and ability to collect information, assess, and intervene as appropriate in the care of patients. Coordinates and works with the other members of the patient care team by performing a range of administrative and clinical functions. Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, insurance verification, rooming patients, taking vitals and health history, documenting in an electronic medical record, assisting technologists and RNs, and other duties as assigned.

Schedule: This position is casual, 0-39 hours per two weeks, working 8 hour night shifts and every other weekend. May include some on-call shifts.

Benefits: This position is not eligible for benefits.

Medical Imaging Assistant Job Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for exam and explains to the patient in everyday terms.

• Responsible for documenting patient history, information, and encounters.

• Sanitizing medical supplies and disposing of materials that have been used.

Medical Imaging Assistant Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Medical Assisting, Nursing Assistant, or assistant in Imaging.

• Completion of CMA or CNA training program.
