Microsoft Corporation Senior Technical Program Manager - Microsoft Defender for Endpoint in Herzliya, Israel

Come and be part of the team building one of Microsoft’s most exciting security products, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/security/endpoint-defender?ocid=tia-260153000) .  As cyber-attacks have become more sophisticated, MDE helps enterprises detect, investigate, and automatically disrupt advanced attacks and data breaches on their networks.  From detecting nation state actors to huge ransomware actors in action, our research team brings deep knowledge of the attacker landscape and tradecraft to create the innovations necessary to uncover and protect against even the most well-funded attacker.

We are seeking an experienced Program Manager excited to be part of a diverse and vibrant security research program managers team, who’s passionate about protecting customers through implementing research projects and processes, driving security research analysis, quality, content, and strategic direction based on the cybersecurity attack landscape, product and customer demand, industry and security standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional global teams, including data scientists, security researchers, engineers, product managers and other program managers, utilizing program and project management standards.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development and execution of research programs aimed at emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors content relevant to our products and customers threat landscape. 

  • Utilize program management methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum, to effectively plan, execute, and monitor research initiatives and projects. 

  • Define and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for the security research team, leveraging data-driven insights to measure program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement. 

  • Act as a technical advisor to educate and evangelize on future directions.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field.

  • At least 6 years of experience in program or project management, ideally in the field of cybersecurity.

  • Experience with defining and tracking OKRs and KPIs to measure team and program performance. 

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders across the entire organization. 

  • Self-managed and proactive.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in project or program management (such as PMP or Agile methodologies) or in cybersecurity (such as CISSP, CISM).

  • Deep expertise in security principles, protocols, and technologies, with a focus on product security and threat research methodologies.

  • Deep understanding of Endpoint Security products.
