Description
Located in Hershey, PA, Milton Hershey School (MHS) is a home and school for over 2,100 students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Founded in 1909 and fully endowed, MHS has almost 12,000 graduates and is growing to serve more students. MHS is seeking a full time, on site, Systems Analyst to provide operational support for the school’s on-campus and cloud hosted business and scholastic applications. The starting compensation range for this position is $74,218 to $99,081, plus a competitive benefits package.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and efficiently resolve application issues including the development of applications, reconfiguring applications, developing reports/data visualizations, etc.
Configure and maintain application security
Troubleshoot and resolve issues when reported by end users
Develop changes in applications to help maximize user productivity and respond to changing organizational needs.
Provide basic SQL database support
Partner with business analyst counterparts to increase organizational knowledge for the purpose of configuring and customizing applications to meet business needs
Actively monitor applications for availability and normal operations
Create and maintain application and data integrations documentation
Provide first tier support for data integration issues reported by users, vendors, or system generated emails/alerts
Escalate technical and data integration issues to senior staff or vendors as appropriate
Participate in peer development exercises and code reviews
Collaborate with other members of the Application Team to provide support for new application system design and implementation
Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, or related field
1 to 3 years of experience programming and supporting business applications
Experience designing, implementing, and supporting reports of enterprise business application data
Experience designing, implementing, and supporting bug fixes
Experience with writing and debugging SQL statements
Experience with support tickets and communicating status and resolution to end users
Experience working with teams to design and development part or full solutions to business requirements
Excellent organizational skills, ability to take ownership of complicated issues and ability to prioritize based on immediate needs
Excellent communication and organization skills
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to understand and resolve customer needs
Ability to learn how to implement and manage new technology
Ability to quickly learn and grasp new concepts and keep up to date on current technology
Demonstrated initiative, good judgement, and ability to achieve meaningful results.
