Amazon Technical Sales Representative, US FED NATSEC in Herndon, Virginia

Amazon Web Services is seeking a Technology Sales Rep to support our Intelligence Community customers. This role is based in the Northern Virginia + Washington, DC area.

In this role, you will have the exciting opportunity to help drive growth and shape the future of emerging technology in the Intelligence Community. Your responsibilities will include growing a portfolio with a focus on customer engagement and thought leadership. This includes developing overall business strategy, collaborating across AWS, and engaging with customers and systems integrators (SI's) to influence and accelerate adoption.

The role requires a professional who is experienced in sales, opportunity management, business development, and capture activities for law enforcement programs in National Security. The ideal candidate will have (1) operating in entrepreneurial and highly matrixed environments, (2) the ability to translate customer requirements into technology solutions, and (3) past performance growing national security programs through the adoption of emerging technology.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. citizen and must currently possess an active TS/SCI security clearance.

Key job responsibilities

  • Meet regularly with national security executives and mission owners to understand their mission requirements.

  • Drive revenue and market share in a defined region

  • Accelerate customer adoption and customer satisfaction

  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline

  • Work with partners to extend reach & drive adoption

  • Manage contract negotiations

  • Develop long-term strategic relationships

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience across Intelligence Community including DoD IC elements

  • Sales or business development experience in the U.S. Federal government with a track record of quota attainment.

  • BA/BS degree

  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in the geospatial, aerospace, or satellite Industry

  • Experience in technical project management, leading and implementing strategic initiatives.

  • Understanding of ML lifecycle. i.e., trained, customized, tuned and validated ML models that are leveraged in a science applications.

  • Formal sales training in Value Selling, Challenger, or similar sales methodology with demonstrable track record of successfully selling technology products and services.

  • Certifications in Amazon Web Services including Cloud Practitioner, Machine Learning, and/or Solutions Architect

  • Demonstrable presentation skills and the ability to write white papers, proposals, or other client facing materials, especially to executive audiences.
