As a manager in this role, you will lead a team responsible for forecasting, planning, and optimizing data center capacity in the 0-2Y horizon to meet the needs of our rapidly expanding cloud services. The role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, excellent leadership capabilities, and deep understanding of data center infrastructure and operations.

Key job responsibilities

• Lead a team of cluster planners, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure team success.

• Develop and execute a comprehensive capacity planning strategy that aligns with the organization’s growth objectives and two-year horizon demand forecast.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, supply chain, services, and others, to gather requirements and ensure accurate planning and resource allocation.

• Utilize data analytics and forecasting models to predict future capacity needs based on current usage trends, business growth projections, and technological advancements.

• Identify projected capacity constraints and develop mitigation plans to ensure scalability of AWS infrastructure.

• Monitor and report on capacity utilization, efficiency metrics, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to senior leadership teams.

• Continuously improve planning processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

• Manage escalations related to capacity planning issues, working with relevant stakeholder to resolve problems and remove blockers.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with experience in operations or program management

  • Strong leadership skills; experience leading large programs/projects and owning critical business functions with weekly reporting to senior leadership

  • Problem solving skills and the abilities to quantitatively analyze challenges, scope technical requirements, and effectively prioritize program deliverables

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience leading teams of 4+ Program Managers and Technical Infrastructure Program Managers

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or operations related fields with minimum 5+ years of relevant experience

  • Experience leading teams with 6+ employees.

  • Experience in data center infrastructure and also in implementing Kaizen/ continuous improvement processes

  • Experience with agile or similar program management methodologies;

  • Proven track record in communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple business units

  • Strong data manipulation background and ability to work with numbers on a daily basis; Experience with analyzing big data sets

  • Ability and interest to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous and rapidly-changing environment
