Job Description:

• Preserve the Credit Union's assets by controlling delinquent loan accounts, collecting delinquent loan payments and/or recovering collateral

• Comply with all Credit Union rules and regulations, including BSA/AML, and Loan and Fair Lending Policies

• Monitor and work the Overdraft Privilege Program (ODP) reports daily

• Answer internal and external ODP related questions and resolves issues quickly

• Work with members and Collections Agency in setting up Fresh Starts, posts payments, and file maintains accounts

• Processes charge-offs and contact delinquent accounts by phone and mail; takes appropriate action to bring current

• Council members using knowledge of Credit Union guidelines, NCUA policies, as well as the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act

• Use collections techniques to maintain good relationships with delinquent members yet avoid losses

• Analyze the financial situation of delinquent borrowers to determine possible modifications due to hardship

• Collect on returned checks, delinquent property, taxes, and negative shares-- freezing shares as required

• Submits delinquency loan activity for supervisor

Qualifications:

• Previous Banking experience and banking product knowledge

• Ability to have direct conversations with clients on the phone

• Ability to work on computer systems looking up customer accounts

Work Environment:

• Monday - Friday 8:00-5:00pm
