NY1494479 ASSISTANT COUNTY ATTORNEY. Herkimer County seeks applicants for this part-time (2 days per week) position.

Minimum Qualifications require the possession of a license to practice law in the State of New York. The incumbent is responsible for the management and presentation of cases in all Herkimer County Courts. Additional responsibilities include: drafting and reviewing contracts on behalf of the county and for providing advice and counsel to Herkimer County Departments. This position also organizes, examines and coordinates materials and efforts related to the presentation of juvenile delinquency cases, represents Herkimer County in bankruptcy proceedings and does general legal research for the Herkimer County Attorneys Office.

Base salary is $52,000 (2024) per year plus county benefits, including 100% paid health insurance and NYS Retirement.
