Citigroup Infrastructure Senior Tech Analyst - C12 - HEREDIA in Heredia, Costa Rica

The Infrastructure Senior Technology Analyst is an intermediate level role responsible for assisting with LAN / WAN and help desk administration activities, including network maintenance, technical guidance, and security in coordination with the Technology Infrastructure team. The overall objective is to use infrastructure technology knowledge and identified policies to process data, resolve issues and execute administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Create complex project plans, perform impact analyses solve/work high impact problems/projects, and provide resolutions to restore services

  • Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) post restoration of service

  • Design testing approaches, complex processes, reporting streams, and create automation of repetitive tasks

  • Review requirement documents, define hardware requirements and examine and update processes and procedures as necessary

  • Provide technical/strategic direction and act as advisor/coach to lower level analysts

  • Develop projects required for design of metrics, analytical tools, benchmarking activities and best practices

  • Responsible for overall operating system applications

  • Contribute to technical direction and strategic decisions

  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.

  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.

  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of experience in Infrastructure Technologies delivery with a proven track record of operational process change and improvement

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audience

  • Ability to work with virtual and in-person teams, and work under pressure or to a deadline

  • Experience in a Financial Services or large complex and/or global environment preferred

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Effective analytic/diagnostic skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience

T he Advanced Network Engineer is technical lead role, responsible for the advanced analysis and operational support for the Global Network, which may include: conduct network investigations, leading the rapid response and resolution to major incidents, and developing proactive proposals for optimization and improvements of the global network operation.

She/He will also be acting as network operations lead when required, leading the resources assigned during your Shift of the Global Network platform. He/She will be in charge to oversee the work assignment, supervision, and overall performance of the technical resources and the quality of the operation.

Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for the operational support of the Citi’s global network, which includes multiple platforms, manufacturers, and technologies. Leading the teams and resources under his/her responsibility during the Shift.

• Provide workload assignments and technical supervision of the agents in charge during the Shift and compliance with the operational and quality metrics of the platform.

• Provide fast response to problems of high priority, severity, and impact.

• Act directly on incidents and tasks of greater complexity or priority assigned to the group and Shift in charge.

• Excellent interpersonal relations and communication and persuasive skills; be able to manage communication with multiple audiences during problem-solving and crisis management.

Exhibit excellent documentation practices. Capable to Deliver relevant analysis and reporting.

• Ability to quickly analyze and identify resolution strategies for complex and high-impact problems in real-time and lead multidisciplinary teams.

• Contribute to the training and skills development of the assigned technical teams.

• Develop trust relationships with counterparts in other regions and with multiple stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Over three years of experience as a network operations leader.

• Experience in networks and telecommunications in large-scale environments, such as Carrier, Manufacturers, Multi-Account Global Services, or a large-scale enterprise environment.

• Effective oral and written communication skills.

• Effective diagnostic and analysis skills. Mature analytical and communications skills.

• Ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.

• Experience in Financial Services or a broad global or complex environment preferred.

• Ability to provide rapid response to problems, leading multidisciplinary teams virtually.

• Ability to work with personal and virtual teams and work under pressure or for rapid resolution of critical incidents.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree, technical education, or equivalent experience

• CCIE or CCNP certification and equivalent experience and skills.

• Extensive knowledge of routing protocols, VPNs, high availability environments, carrier management, critical applications, data center infrastructure, among others.

• Preferred knowledge in network programmability and automation and software-defined networking.
