STATUS: FT/40 hrs/wk/Hourly

The Salvation Army in Henderson, Nevada is looking to fill a Warehouse Coordinator position. The successful candidate for this position will be able to work independently with minimal supervision, be highly adaptable, thrive on challenges and excel in various environments. The Warehouse Coordinator will be responsible for the upkeep, cleaning, repair, and organization of the warehouse and grounds areas. This person will pickup, deliver and distribute donations and food, supervising and assisting with unloading of trucks which at times will require the safe operation of a forklift. This person will also perform minor repairs to include but not limited to changing air filters, illumination, and switch plate covers.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds as well as a wide-range of other organizational personnel in a courteous and professional manner

  • Mus be highly adaptable, thrive on challenges, and excel in various environments

  • Possess time management skills and be able to complete assigned tasks

  • Must be forklift certified or able to obtain certification within 30 days of employment

  • Must be able to drive a 26’-28’ foot truck or be willing to be certified within 30 days of employment

  • Must possess a valid NV driver’s license with clean MVR

  • Must take and successfully complete The Salvation Army’s Fleet Safety e-learning

  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and reach with hands and arms on a continuous basis. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to operate telephone, a desktop or laptop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information.
