Description

We are seeking an Accountant to assist on a project for a client in the gaming industry. The accountant will primarily assist the director to automate manual accounting procedures. The ideal Accountant must have strong accounting experience, possess coding skills, and an excellent understanding of accounting systems & Microsoft Excel. Prior Gaming experience is preferred, but not required. This is a contract opportunity located in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The accountants duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Utilize coding skills to automate manual accounting procedures within the gaming industry context

• Ensure efficient linkage of CSV files into workbooks to streamline data management

• Conduct regular audits to detect anomalies and inconsistencies in accounting entries and automated processes

• Ensure all coding and automation activities are in compliance with financial regulations and standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or a related field.

• Strong accounting knowledge, including experience with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).

• Exceptional leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage a team effectively.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Strong organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail.

• Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal gaming regulations.
