Robert Half HR Coordinator in Hempstead, New York

Description We are seeking an HR Coordinator to join our team in the non-profit sector based in Hempstead, New York. This role is crucial in handling the day-to-day operations of our HR department, which includes recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and HR administration. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in job postings, candidate screening, and scheduling interviews as part of the recruitment process

• Coordinate new hire onboarding activities, including paperwork, orientation sessions, and training

• Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and provide assistance with HR-related matters

• Support employee engagement initiatives and activities

• Maintain HRIS records and ensure data accuracy and integrity

• Prepare and distribute HR-related correspondence, such as offer letters, employment verifications, and termination notices

• Assist with benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations

• Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits programs

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations

• Assist with HR reporting and data analysis as needed

• Provide administrative support to the HR team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and maintaining files.

• Use skills such as ADP- Financial Services, ADP Workforce Now, ATS- Asynchronous Transfer Mode, Ceridian, HRMS, About Time, Background Checks, Benefit Functions, Compensation Administration, Compliance, Benefits Administration, Employee Relations, Human Resources (HR) Administration, Recruiting. Requirements • Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now

• Familiarity with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode

• Experience with Ceridian and HRMS software

• Ability to use About Time software

• Experience conducting Background Checks

• Knowledge of Benefit Functions and Compensation Administration

• Understanding of Compliance within the Non-Profit sector

• Proficiency in Benefits Administration

• Experience in Employee Relations

• Familiarity with Human Resources (HR) Administration

• Proven track record in Recruiting within a non-profit context
