State of Montana Human Resources Specialist - Recruiting (04085) in Helena, Montana

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Office of Human Resources. This position provides operational Human Resources (HR) support and guidance for focus area of recruitment and onboarding. This position will manage full cycle recruitment and assist hiring managers from creation of job descriptions, to posting vacant positions, screening, interviewing, and selecting candidates, processing background checks and new hire paperwork. This position will also classify positions and review compensation, and contribute to policies, procedures, record keeping, data analysis, process improvements, training, communications, and compliance with state and federal laws and regulations and collective bargaining agreements. It serves as a backup for other HR services for Family Medical Leave Act (FLMA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), worker compensation (WC), administration, and may assist with employee relations matters. * * Why Join DPHHS * * Our mission at DPHHS is to serve Montanans in their communities to improve and protect the health, safety, and well-being, and to empower independence.
