State of Montana Grants Contracts Coordinator 2 in Helena, Montana

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Business and Financial Services/Procurement. * * It is the mission of the Business & Financial Services Division to provide professional services in operational areas critical to the efficient and effective management of the Department. The Office of Procurement and Contracts, within the Business Services and Internal Support Bureau, provides the general and specific oversight of the decentralized procurement function for the Department of Public Health & Human Services (DPHHS). Under the general supervision of the Central Procurement Supervisor, this position is responsible for ensuring that decentralized Division staff for the department and its contracted providers are following contract requirements. Qualifications for this Career Opportunity * * · Extensive knowledge of the theory and principles of government accounting, procurement and contracting. · Thorough knowledge of state procurement, risk management and contracting laws and procedures. · Ability to perform intellectual analysis and evaluation in forming a variety of administrative and program management responsibilities; to independently research and interpret information and develop evaluation methods and procedure for state and federal contracts and grants. · Attention to detail, time management, and excellent verbal written and organizational skills. · Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with employees, contractors, other agencies, and the public. · Ability to operate a personal computer and general office equipment as necessary to complete essential functions, including using spreadsheets, word processing, database, email, internet, and other computer programs. * Meet minimum qualifications: o Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, economics, or related field. o Two years of job-related experience in finance, contract management, or accounting. o Four years of support experience with contracts, and/or related high-level administrative support. o Other combinations of directly related education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis. * * How to Apply To be considered for a DPHHS position, submit the following required documents with your application on the State of Montana Careers website.
