Advantage Technical Services, Inc Controls Engineer in Hebron, Ohio

Position: Controls Engineer Pay Rate: $45 to $50 per hour Length: 1 year, with potential for extension Location: Hebron, OH, USA 43025 Description: This position is responsible for the controls portion of projects and initiatives at the Newark Compounding Facility. The role involves primary programming for PLC installations and changes, adding graphics to operator interfaces, and handling various PCT projects. The position is part of a PCT project team for major projects or independently manages several PCT initiatives at the plant. Major Tasks & Responsibilities: Program Allen-Bradley PLCs using ladder logic (newest platforms preferred, knowledge of legacy systems beneficial). Program HMI and MES systems using Wonderware, Archestra, and Panelview software. Provide startup support for new programs and changes to existing programs. Troubleshoot control circuits for PLC wiring. Read and mark up PLC wiring diagrams. Utilize AutoCAD software (preferred). Use Windows-based software proficiently. Requirements: BS in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field; Electro/mechanical Associates Degree with experience considered. Minimum of 2 years in a related field. Organizational skills and systematic problem-solving approach. Effective written and verbal communication. Ability to work on project and maintenance teams. Knowledge in electrical, instrumentation, and control systems. Proficiency in programming Allen-Bradley PLCs and configuring/programming controllers and IO. Work Relations: This position collaborates with the Reliability Group, Production, and Lab teams.
