Job Summary:


The Maintenance Manager will manage the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department and responsible for providing expertise and leadership to the maintenance staff while ensuring the safe maintenance, repair or replacement of Wagstaff's plant assets. The maintenance manager will be responsible for driving continuous improvement of plant operations to enable efficient, high-quality production of customer products.

Requirements:
  • Plan all department operations for maintenance of company equipment and facilities for the Hebron Plant
  • Prepare departmental budget and monitor expenditure of funds in the budget
  • Assign maintenance technicians to specific work hours to meet Wagstaff, Inc. needs and review daily timesheet and vacation/sick leave requests
  • Responsible for implementing world-class maintenance strategic and tactical solutions to daily production issues
  • Develop a Preventive Maintenance Program (PMP) in conjunction with maintenance personnel
  • Develop a communication plan for maintenance issues
  • Plan and coordinate activities of all maintenance technicians to complete preventive maintenance (PM) and other plant maintenance projects
  • Maintain regular reporting and record keeping on PM schedule compliance
  • Accountable for capital project outcome including justifying, proposing, negotiating procurement, executing and troubleshooting installations, building and new processes for the manufacturing facility
  • Notify the production department if machines will be unavailable due to unscheduled maintenance or repair
  • Complete employee performance evaluations and other personnel documentation in accordance with company policies; manage all maintenance personnel including but not limited to hiring, terminations, coaching, and counseling
  • Train, monitor and support maintenance personnel on safety policies and processes in order to protect employees and others against occupational accidents, injuries and illnesses
  • Ensure that all work of the maintenance department is carried out safely and in accordance with all applicable regulatory, industry and other pertinent standards
  • Prepare reports for, and attend, company management meetings

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a 2- year technical degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
  • A minimum of Ten (10) years' experience in industrial maintenance with supervisory experience of maintenance technicians
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
  • Develop and implement the short- and long-term maintenance strategy to enable operating efficiency in alignment with Wagstaff values
  • Ability to plan and manage the maintenance department budget
  • Ability to work within a 24/7 plant operations facility
  • Must possess strong leadership capabilities, demonstrated by clearly communicating expectations, proactively coaching employees, and promoting team building
  • Ability to coach and develop talent to create a highly productive, safety-conscious team
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize on a continual basis
  • A broad understanding of manufacturing systems and processes
