CVG Airport Authority Contract Manager - Maintenance in Hebron, Kentucky

CLASS SUMMARY:Responsible for maintenance and operational contract oversight and management. Primary contact person, providing information, guidance, and evaluation for all contracts assigned by the Department Head. This position will have a varied schedule based on operational needs and be on-call to respond to emergency events.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:This class specification represents only the core areas of responsibilities; specific position assignments will vary depending on the needs of the department.- Maintains various reports for work completed, performance, and regulatory records as required- Manages Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) on-call contracts, as well as full-service maintenance contracts related to facility maintenance.- Manages contract activity in support of CVG AA maintenance departments, works with assigned maintenance department stakeholders in the development of scopes of work, as well as any acceptance post work completion.- Management of work order life cycle for all assigned contract activity- Ownership of maintenance contract budgets, implementation of cost controls, and invoicing- Maintains working relationships with CVG AA internal stakeholders, contractors, suppliers, and tenants to resolve issues related to daily operations- Prepares analysis and reports to CVG AA staff and contractors- Aids contract personnel on the Computer Maintenance Management Systems, responding to questions, troubleshooting issues, and working with IT to ensure they are addressed quickly and efficiently- Provides data and reports for audit of Board contracts within the maintenance groups and assists with verifying contract compliance- Problem-solving contract-related issues- Provides requested information to draft motions, justifications, and reports for Board meetings- Works with the Department Head in determining when contingency plans should be put into place and monitoring the performance of those plans. Will be responsible for recommending and implementing any changes that need to take place with those plans.- Responsible for all contract management activities as documented in KCAB Policy 1014, Contract Management. As the subject matter expert responsible for all key aspects of contract management, ensuring KCAB’s interests are represented in any business activities regarding the agreement.- Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assignedTRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:Associate degree in a related field to the area of assignment and five years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. LICENSING/CERTIFICATIONS:- Maintains Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) clearance- Maintains non-movement area driving KNOWLEDGE OF:- Airport operations, policies, and procedures- Mechanical, electrical and plumbing maintenance procedures- Math- Facility and asset management- Project management- Contract Management- MS Office Suite of ProductsSKILL IN:- Clearly and effectively communicating, negotiating, and advocating, both orally and in writing- Use of a variety of computer-based technologies including word processing, and spreadsheets- Critical thinking and problem solving- Demonstrated skill in use of independent judgement, critical thinking, and problem solving- Manage confidential information- Establishing and maintaining effective, fair, cooperative, collaborative, and respectful relationships with internal and external colleagues, peers, work teams and workgroups. ADA AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Positions in this class typically require standing, walking, fingering, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. Medium Work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
