BCAA Senior Software Developer Analyst - Enterprise in *Head Office, Canada

We are currently hiring a Senior Software Developer Analyst – Enterprise based in our Head Office in Burnaby .

Please note that this is a hybrid role based out of our Burnaby, BC office. Applicants who are not located within commuting distance of our Head Office or are not looking to relocate to the Greater Vancouver/Lower Mainland/Fraser Valley region will not be considered.

As a Senior Software Developer Analyst - Enterprise , you will play a crucial role in the development and delivery of innovative enterprise technology solutions. You will be responsible for coding and configuring SaaS software, creating enhancements, and collaborating with business areas to design effective solutions. Your expertise will drive the success of test and learn initiatives, ensuring that each project is thoroughly documented for knowledge sharing and scalability.

In this role, you will design, code, test, and debug software programs while also leading and mentoring junior developers. Your technical proficiency in C#, .NET, and other object-oriented programming languages will be essential as you work closely with solution architects to implement robust solutions that meet business needs. Up to 50% of your time may be spent on Business System Analysis or Architectural tasks, making this a dynamic and multifaceted position.

  • You are proficient in SQL Server, Visual Studio, C#, XML, and SSIS development, and have a strong understanding of the software lifecycle in an Agile environment.

  • You have a proven track record in developing technical specifications and are adept at troubleshooting and resolving production issues.

  • You excel in collaboration, working closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

  • You are proactive in seeking continuous improvement opportunities and enjoy challenging the status quo to find better and faster ways of solving technical problems.

  • You are committed to staying current with emerging technologies and best practices in software development.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the design, development, and documentation of complex software products, ensuring they meet business needs and adhere to quality standards.

  • Produce high-quality code that meets coding standards and contributes to the technical direction of projects.

  • Collaborate with solution architects in exploring and designing solutions that leverage new applications and technologies.

  • Architect and implement programmatic data flows and user interfaces, integrating software modules from other teams and vendors.

  • Conduct implementation, unit testing, and integration testing for assigned work packages, ensuring robust and reliable software delivery.

  • Work closely with business stakeholders as the technical specialist for new solutions, participating as the technical SME in software implementation projects.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, providing support during off-hours release deployments when necessary.

  • Seek out and implement continuous improvement opportunities, always looking for ways to enhance processes and solutions.

  • Carry out other related tasks and projects as assigned by the team.

What you bring:

  • You hold a Degree or Diploma in Computing Science or equivalent education and experience.

  • You have at least 5 years of experience in software development, with extensive experience in architecting and developing integrations with on-premise and cloud-based ERP systems.

  • You are proficient in SQL Server, Visual Studio, C#, XML, SSIS development, and have a strong understanding of the product and software lifecycle in an Agile environment.

  • You have extensive experience with Workday, including developing solutions, enabling different modules, and integrating various plugins to enhance system capabilities.

  • You have a proven track record in the development and analysis of technical specifications, as well as in troubleshooting and resolving production issues.

  • You have experience with integration platforms such as Mulesoft, Azure, Boomi, iPaaS, and other in-house solutions.

  • You demonstrate a strong aptitude for learning new tools, including Powershell, Python, AWS, SFTP, SSRS, PowerBI, and SAP Business Objects.

Bonus skills and experience!

  • Experience with REST and web services API development.

  • Experience with third-party system integration, such as Epicor, Concur, Sun Life, Verint, CarltonOne.

  • Experience with infrastructure platforms like AWS and Microsoft.

  • Experience with payment systems, including EFTs, E-Transfer, Moneris, Stripe, banking system integrations, and cheque-writing software.

The salary range for this position is $94,091.52 to $117,614.40 and is determined via job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand and internal equity. In addition to base salary and BCAA benefits, this position is eligible for a performance bonus target of 9%, with the opportunity to earn up to 15%.
