Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in HAYWARD, California. The successful candidate will work within the telecom industry, undertaking a blend of responsibilities that span across account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, general ledger management, and more.

Responsibilities:

• Update and maintain the chart of accounts, ensuring all systems and workflows are synchronized when changes are made.

• Carry out bank and credit card reconciliations regularly.

• Perform monthly analysis of restricted net assets.

• Prepare monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.

• Assist with managing the department's compliance calendar and ensuring timely submission of all required external filings.

• Perform confidential, technical, and complex duties as needed.

• Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested.

• Facilitate month-end closes and prepare necessary journal entries.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, and MS Great Plains Accounting for various accounting tasks.

• Assist in audit preparation, creating audit schedules, and managing tax audits.

• Handle credit card reconciliation and monthly bank reconciliation tasks. Requirements

• Possession of a Bachelors or Master's degree in Accounting or a related field

• Minimum of seven years of experience in accounting roles

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Extensive experience with General Ledger management and Journal Entries

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Knowledge of NetSuite and Oracle software

• Familiarity with SAP, MS Great Plains Accounting, and MS Great Plains Dynamics

• Proven track record in Audit Prep, Audit Schedules, and Tax Audits

• Experience with Credit Card Reconciliation and Monthly Bank Reconciliation

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organization skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
