Job Title: Cleanroom Production Operator

Job Description

We are an American multinational health care company that primarily focuses on products to treat kidney disease and other chronic and acute medical conditions. Our facility in Hayward manufactures products called FLOSEAL and COSEAL, which help close wounds after surgeries. We are currently seeking Primary Packaging Technicians who will work in a cleanroom environment, packaging these critical medical products.

Responsibilities

• Work in a cleanroom environment doing packaging.

• Wear full gowning, similar to a HAZMAT suit, to maintain cleanroom standards.

• Operate a machine that pouches the product, which creates a loud environment.

• Rotate stations every 2 hours to maintain efficiency and reduce repetitive strain.

• Perform stretches between rotations to ensure physical well-being.

• Fill syringes with gel in different sizes (5MM and 10MM).

• Lift up to 25 lbs, although this is required less than 10% of the day.

• Stand for prolonged periods and perform repetitive motions while packaging products in boxes.

Essential Skills

• Comfortable working in a highly regulated environment with strict adherence to SOPs and GMPs.

• Ability to perform highly repetitive tasks.

• Physical stamina to stand for prolonged periods and perform repetitive motions.

• Team player with excellent attendance.

• Willingness to work overtime, including Saturdays.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, packaging, production, GMP, cleanroom environments.

• Experience in medical device assembly and inspection.

• Willingness to undergo a lengthy onboarding process including a 10-panel drug test, 7-year, employment verification, and vision acuity test.

• Must provide physical proof of high school diploma or GED prior to submission.

Work Environment

The work environment is a cleanroom with several production lines. Technicians are required to wear full gowning, including covering legs, pants, gloves, head, hair, beard, mustache, and shoes. The cleanroom is a loud environment due to machinery. Shifts are from 4am-12:30pm or 11am-7:30pm, Monday to Friday, with mandatory overtime during the week and some Saturdays.
