WSP USA Transportation Analyst II in Hawthorne, New York

This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Transportation Analyst II for our Hawthorne, NY office.

Your Impact

  • Assist the HVTMC and NYSDOT in informing the public and partner agencies on the impact of weather, construction, maintenance, and other activities;

  • Ensure that work zone setup meet NYSDOT standards and conform to policies;

  • Report on and ensure that the Department’s externa condition reporting systems (Openreach and 511NY) are timely and accurate; collect, analyze and report on HVTMC performance;

  • Assist in HVTMC asset management and recordkeeping; conduct TMC/TSMO related studies/investigations, assist in ITS scope development, and work with contractors to correct reporting deficiencies in TMC systems.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years experience as a Transportation Analyst.

  • Computer/Software including MS Office applications, spreadsheets, and databases.

  • Personnel management

  • Work Zone Traffic Control design and/or implementation.

  • Data analytics including economic evaluation, systems evaluation and predictability/performance evaluation

  • Geographic Information System (GIS), asset management, basic software development Mapping (ArcMap, ArcView, ArcGIS, or equivalent)

  • Oral and written communication.

  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies

  • Construction inspection, supervisions, or management with experience in roadwork and work zone traffic control.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Performing multiple tasks simultaneously and independently; interpersonal skills and ability to train others

  • Working and getting along with others in a team environment

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field with a minimum of National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET)

Compensation:

Expected Salary (all locations): $41,800 - $75,300

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
