Amentum Munition & Logistic Operations Coordinator in Hawthorne, Nevada

Amentum is seeking a Munition & Logistic Operations Coordinator to join our team in Hawthorne, Nevada to support the Hawthorne Army Depot. The Munition & Logistic Operations Coordinator will perform a combination of project coordination duties by providing technical expertise relevant to munitions demilitarization and storage problems.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Performs a combination of project coordination duties by providing technical expertise relevant to munitions demilitarization and storage problems.

  • Will assist in developing plans and schedules for maintenance of munition demilitarization support equipment.

  • Assist management team with developing cross utilization of personnel to accomplish SDO and Demil operations.

  • Will perform as the focal point for all munition accountability issues in the Contract in accordance with US Gov standards and the PWS.

  • Serves as a liaison between SDO and Demil departments to ensure smooth coordination of tasks and responsibilities for the completion of assigned objectives.

  • Coordinates special or unique projects of moderate complexity with managers, technicians, supervisors, and operators to identify and develop plans and resolve problems.

  • Communicates promptly with managers and supervisors of problems and limiting factors.

  • Applies comprehensive reviews, planning, and detailed resolutions to problems in areas of systems, processes, procedures and equipment to assure successful resolution.

  • Ensures all schedules are effectively communicated and strategic solutions are developed as needed to meet required operational milestones.

  • Coordinate between SDO and Demil with training assessment and requirements for effective cross utilization of personnel.

  • Establish and maintain reference materials that track the skills and competency of employees.

  • Will conduct all munitions work according to established quality processes, identifying potential problems and recommending solutions.

  • Maintains records, compliance documents, and will draft, review, finalize and submit project status reports.

  • Completes all accountability and historical documentation actions in a timely manner.

  • Audits all accountable transactions and performs all document control actions.

  • Will review project backgrounds with current objectives and be able to communicate resolutions and gain consensus on process application in a timely and effective manner.

  • Advises managers and supervisors of any potential problem.

  • Will act as the focal point for processing and filing accountable / auditable documents.

  • Will provide input for official reports, and inspections.

  • Ensures compliance with Company, safety, government and environmental guidelines and regulations pertaining to the responsibilities of this position.

  • Tracks availability of resources assigned and/or allocated to Demil and/or Supply Depot Operations for the execution of the Project Work Statement mission.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be at 18 years of age.

  • Associate’s degree in a technical discipline, management or related field required. (An equivalent combination of formal college/university education and directly related job experience may be considered.) or minimum of seven (7-10) years’ experience in material control and/or government property management.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid State of Nevada driver’s license. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate level of government security clearance well as a clearance through the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms.

  • Must satisfactorily complete the Training and Certification Program for Personnel Working Ammunition Operations required by AMC Regulation 350-4 within 90 days of hire.

  • Must be able to communicate in an effective and professional manner, in English, using all std. forms of business communication. Must possess sufficient computer hardware and software proficiency to be able to perform all job duties in a timely, professional and effective manner.

  • Able to obtain & maintain all certificates as required by Amentum’s Master Training Plan.

  • Effective communication skills, including speaking, writing and active listening.

Safety Sensitive

This position is designated as a safety sensitive position and is subject to the requirements of the HWAD Medical Surveillance Plan and Matrix and the HWAD A&D Program. As a condition of employment, candidates and incumbents must favorably complete a personnel security investigation, drug testing, medical exam and respiratory screening, and must meet and maintain personnel suitability and reliability requirements established by 29 CFR and Army Regulations: AR 190-11, AR 190-13 and DOD Contractors Safety Manual 4145.26.
