Amentum Automated Identification Technology (AIT) - Logisitics Modernization Program (LMP) in Hawthorne, Nevada

  • Amentum is seeking an Automated Identification Technology (AIT) - Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) Specialist to join our team in Hawthorne, Nevada to support the Hawthorne Army Depot. Position will oversee AIT processes and procedures, as well as monitor LMP Data quality and availability through metrics and audits.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Monitoring LMP Data quality and availability through the use of metrics and audits. Identify the need to adjust desired conditions, goal objectives, standards and guidelines. Monitoring Extended Warehouse Management (EWM). Components EWM Receiving & Put Away, Physical Inventory, Serial Number Management, Picking & Shipping, Storage Management, Quality Inspection & Quality Management.

  • Assist in training users in the Army’s Logistics Modernization Program (LMP).

  • Command User Account Manager (UAM) for LMP.

  • Pull and distribute reports from LMP and MTMS.

  • Monitor IM/WM Warehouse, Post Good Issue and Post Good Receipt, Stock Comparison, Transfer Orders. Interface with LMP and MNP. Identify critical errors and re-education of site personnel to prevent the reoccurrence of critical errors.

  • LMP Material Master Unit of Measure, measurement quantity, gross weight, net weight, Dangerous Goods Compatibility, NEW, QDCL missing or incorrect data, researching Web Files and JHCS. Support the inventory program and required research to identify corrective action necessary.

  • Exercise oversight of legacy data cleansing, analysis, communication, improvement, streaming activities, harmonization and staging to support the ERP environment and priorities associated tasks. Act as a trouble shooter for SDO, M&L Administrative duties.

  • Assist or prepare Contract Data List (CDL) as required. Support conversion of the local 11 accounts and monitor proper submittal of the project codes by the end user. Identify missing or overlapping grids. Provide any required scans. Responsible for coordination, scheduling and establishing processes, to meet internal or contractual commitments.​

  • Responsible for the Automated Identification Technology (AIT) program, equipment, and training at HWAD.

  • Oversee AIT processes and procedures that perform shipping, receiving, re-warehousing, and inventory of class V munitions.

  • Ensure HWAD complies with MIL-STD-129 Military Marking for Shipment and Storage for AA&E 2D barcode identification tags as well as other contractual and regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain accountability of all AIT equipment: hand-held scanners, 2D barcode printers, and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags.

  • Facilitate automated applications software updates such as Savi MTMS-FM Mobile, Army Container Asset Management System (ACAMS) Mobile, Joint Munitions Barcode Labeler (JMBL), Stock Inventory List Comparison Suite (SILC), Automated Key Control, and RFID tag writing software.

  • Communicate with the Senior Logistics Subject Matter Experts at JMC to troubleshoot issues related to the application software as they occur. Input trouble tickets into the ADA CCB site as required and aid in carrying out resolutions.

  • Provide all automation application training to users.

  • Aid in causative research for accountability and automation processing issues.

  • Assist in identifying, developing, updating, and implementing process strategies, policies, guidance, and plans for storage operations/supply chain management.

  • Analyze logistic processes to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and implements solutions.

  • Create and maintain written procedures for AIT users.

  • Review, prepare, and update Standard Operation Procedures and Internal Operating Procedures on an annual basis.

  • Create budget for AIT supplies and submit requisitions for supplies each year.

  • Compile data into reports provided to leadership/management.

  • Lead Joint Munitions Command (JMC) inspectors through inspections and audits.

  • Represent the software developer contractor during functional testing, prior to releasing new versions of related software to the user community for regression testing.

  • Position may require travel.

  • Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees.

  • Perform all work in compliance with environmental permits and regulations.

  • May be required to work overtime or varying hours to include shift work.

  • Be at work when scheduled and maintain a good attendance record.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

  • Two (2) years related experience working with Automated Identification Technology (AIT) and Logistic Modernization Program (LMP).

  • Must be a United States or naturalized citizen able to obtain and maintain Hawthorne Army Depot (HWAD) site access

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a government general purpose vehicle.

  • Must be computer literate in common software applications and able to operate general office equipment

  • Must maintain fitness-for-duty standards to perform the essential functions of the position, to include any HWAD drill, contingency and/or emergency requirement.

  • Two (2) years progressive experience in the Army Property Accountability System equivalent to 30 months on active duty as a 92Y or equivalent experience as a DA civilian or in DA property management experience for a civilian contractor.

  • Must understand and be able to use technical manuals and comply with Army regulations.

  • Must be customer service oriented.

  • Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently.

  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access PowerPoint.

This position is designated as non-safety sensitive position and is subject to the requirements of the HWAD Medical Surveillance Plan and Matrix and the HWAD A&D Program. As a condition of employment, candidates and incumbents must favorably complete a personnel security investigation, urinalysis testing, respiratory screening, and must meet and maintain personnel suitability and reliability requirements established by the Hawthorne Army Depot Commander and HWAD O&M contract requirements.
