Summary
Work in a dynamic environment in a senior position to address complex environmental remediation projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include project management, preparing technical reports, development and oversight of remedial/removal actions, field sampling and field procedures, supervision of soil and groundwater investigations.
Business development and preparation of proposals, personnel supervision, and assistance in staff development/mentoring in technical areas.
Capable of managing and preparing project proposals, including authoring technical approach content.
Able to manage staff, delegate clearly and effectively tasks to staff and follow through to ensure work is being completed as expected.
Developing an area of expertise and internal reputation as a technical resource in this area.
Understands all aspects of project management, including scope, scheduling, cost controls, and cost tracking.
Manages client expectations and maintains routine communication with clients and regulatory agencies.
Reports to manager on project status.
Senior technical manager and leader in the office. Serves as technical reviewer for technical reports.
Accepts responsibility for meeting standards of quality required by ERRG.
Takes ownership of assignments and sees them through to completion.
Meets internal deadlines.
Adheres to project-specific and corporate-wide safety policies.
Thorough and accurate when reviewing/checking own work.
Executes field activities; records and maintains adequate documentation for closure.
Able to forecast personal utilization and notify supervisor of availability.
Maintains professional and capable image, while interacting with clients in the field.
Maintains own resume.
Follows through on assignments and communicates status.
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years of previous experience in the environmental, engineering, or water resource consulting field.
Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university.
40-hour OSHA certification and current 8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher.
Proficient in MS Office Suite Products.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to effectively interact with clients, regulatory agencies, field operations, technical staff and subcontractors.
Ability to write project work plans, health and safety plans, traffic control plans, erosion control plans, etc.
Ability to travel up to 25 percent of the time to project sites, as needed.
Demonstrated experience managing, executing and environmental/remediation construction.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, or chemistry.
M.S. degree.
P.E./P.G. and/or other professional certifications.
Demonstrated project management experience which includes operations start-up and close-out.
Previous involvement in preparing or contributing technical content and cost information to project proposals.
Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000
