Robert Half Human Resources (HR) Manager in Hauppauge, New York
Description
We are looking for a Human Resources (HR) Manager to join our team in the Health Pharm/Biotech industry based in Hauppauge, New York. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting compliance reviews, maintaining employee records, and managing company's immigration matters. You will also be expected to stay updated with the dynamic labor regulatory landscape and provide risk management suggestions.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure HR policies and practices are compliant with regulations, providing optimization advice when necessary
• Create and implement a HR compliance framework, risk mitigation mechanism, and monitor operational outcomes
• Stay up-to-date with Federal, State, and local laws that impact the company and/or employees
• Oversee and manage the maintenance of employee records as required by law and internal processes
• Handle company’s immigration matters, partnering with outside counsel to ensure timely and accurate filings
• Oversee recruitment process and advise employees and management on immigration-related questions
• Coordinate with Global Mobility teams to facilitate immigration matters
• Act as the point of contact for expatriates for various communications related to the expatriation process
• Regularly check and update various records for accuracy
• Utilize skills in ADP - Financial Services, ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, HCM, Benefit Functions, Communication, Compliance, Employee Relations, and Hiring Processes.
Requirements • Must possess proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now
• Previous experience with Ceridian is required
• Knowledge and understanding of HCM (Human Capital Management) is essential
• Ability to manage and oversee benefit functions effectively
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are imperative
• Demonstrated abilities in ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies
• Must have experience in managing employee relations and fostering a positive work environment
• Proven experience in hiring processes, including screening, interviewing, and onboarding
• Background in the Health Pharm/Biotech industry is strongly preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is required, Master's degree preferred
• Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a managerial role in Human Resources
• Certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification is a plus
• Should be able to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and integrity in all HR matters
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required
• Experience with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) is desirable
• Must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills are required
• Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Experience in change management and organizational development is highly desirable.
