A service company in Hauppauge, NY is hiring a Customer Service Representative to join their growing team! We are seeking an upbeat and personable candidate with excellent customer service skills and the ability to work on a small team. You will be required to wear many hats in this role, so we are seeking someone detail oriented with the ability to multi-task. Prior experience in a Customer Service or Office Role is preferred. salary: $19 - $20 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Customer Interaction: Handle customer inquiries and requests via phone, email, or other communication channels. Provide excellent customer service by addressing their needs promptly and professionally.

  • Order Processing: Enter customer orders into the computer system accurately and efficiently. Ensure all order details are correct and up-to-date.

  • Order Revisions: Make changes or revisions to orders as requested by customers, inside sales, or the CSR department. Maintain clear and consistent communication to ensure all parties are informed of any changes.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the inside sales team to initiate and manage orders. Coordinate with the stock and inventory department to ensure product availability and timely order fulfillment.

  • Call Management: Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls, ranging from 50 to 100 calls daily. Manage calls effectively to provide quick and accurate responses to customer inquiries and issues.

  • Product Knowledge: Understand the specifics of small parts, miscellaneous items, and work order items such as spare parts, switches, and buttons. Provide detailed information to customers as needed.
