Job Summary
Coordinates the competitive Intramural Sports and Club Sports programs. Coordinates program and personnel development in Intramurals such as in-service training, meetings, and evaluations of student employees. Coordinates club sports programs with emphasis on budget management, schedule of practice times, schedule of extramural competition events, and enforces division risk management policies and procedures.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinates the competitive Intramural Sports program. Maintains inventory control and safety issues related to all equipment utilized by Intramural Sports. Supervises Intramural and Sport Clubs Graduate Assistant, Intramural student staff and officials. Manages computer programs.
Coordinates the competitive Sport Clubs program. Maintains inventory control and safety issues related to all equipment utilized by Sport Clubs.
Coordinates Risk Management policies and procedures for Intramural Sports and Sport Clubs.
Serves as the risk management coordinator for Recreational Sports and chairs the risk management committee. Also coordinates the all student orientations and assists in the assessment of those orientations.
Serves as professional staff (rotating afternoons and weekends) on duty for overall management
and supervision of all staff, programs, and recreational sports facilities to include opening and closing facility and handling customer-related situations and emergencies.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience running an intramural sports and club sports program.
Valid Driver’s License.
American Red Cross First Aid training and CPR for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience supervising at least one graduate assistant or coordinator in a collegiate recreation setting.
American Red Cross CPRo/AED with First Aid Instructor
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of officiating and rules of sports
Knowledge of scheduling sports and intramural leagues
Knowledge of current trends of Intramurals and Sport Clubs on a college campus
Ability to train officials for a variety of sports (Flag Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer, Softball, Wiffleball, Kickball and various other sports)
