Need 10 seasonal, full-time, temporary Farmworkers / Laborers to work in Hastings, MN. From: 10/06/2024 to 03/31/2025 Work: 40 hrs./week, Mon. - Fri. 8 hrs./day. No overtime expected but is possible. As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year. Must Apply By: 01/03/2025 JOB DUTIES: Sort corn from machines, Bag corn from hopper and stack bags. Must identify male/ female corn plants due to quality regulations. Must lift up to 60lbs at 45-60 bags/hour. Multi limb coordination, dexterous hands, arm-hand steadiness and focus is a must. Maintain, clean equipment and grounds. JOB REQUIREMENTS: No experience required, employer will train. Must be able to lift items weighing up to 60 lbs. Must be able to perform work that requires exposure to extreme temperatures, extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, walking, frequent stooping or bending over, and repetitive movements. Post hire drug testing will be conducted at the employer's expense: positive test or refusal to abide will result in immediate termination from employment. No minimum education required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence beyond normal commuting distance; employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
