Environment, Health & Safety Specialist

Reports to:Environment, Health & Safety Lead

Based: Haskovo

Supporting the EHS lead and site, the EHS specialist ensures regulatory compliance by using a solutions-oriented approach, enhancing shop-floor leaders' EHS knowledge and capabilities, supporting EHS projects and initiatives, delivering training, performing checks and assessments, encouraging safe practices, and staying informed on regulatory changes to guide leaders and staff.

As a valuable team member, your responsibilities will include:

  • Guides the development and implementation of site-specific EHS programs with minimal oversight from the EHS Lead.

  • Collaborates with site teams to address EHS challenges, providing training, coaching, and risk elimination recommendations.

  • Support EHS lead in implementing regulations, company’s requirements and identifying and correcting non-conformances.

  • Directed by the EHS lead, supports Operations in regulatory interactions and ensures third parties/contractors meet all EHS requirements.

  • Coordinate and conduct EHS trainings, manage incidents, and support thorough investigations and root cause analyses for corrective actions.

  • Liaise effectively with local regulatory authorities and manage small projects, including budgeting.

Requirements:

  • Certificate/Diploma in Health & Safety, Environmental Science/Studies, or Engineering.

  • 3+ years of EHS experience with a solid understanding of EHS impacts in a manufacturing environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to build strong working relationships.

  • Fluent in English (both verbal and written).

  • Strong knowledge of environmental impacts and health and safety risks in consumer goods manufacturing.

  • Experience in managing workplace injury claims.
