The Global Network Services (GNS) FP&A team leads the end-to-end P/L forecasting, results analysis and financial planning processes for the GNS BU under the GMNS segment, providing decision support to senior Finance leaders by producing P&L results and analysis, bringing forward analytical insights, and carrying out thorough financial planning. Delivering on these key goals requires high levels of analytical rigor, financial thought leadership, knowledge of the P&L, strong collaboration across teams, and relationship-building skills. The Analyst based in Gurgaon will be working on Monthly Results analysis, Planning & Long Range Planning exercises along with focus on data analytics & Transaction Profitability analysis. The Analyst would also be responsible for preparing materials for GNS Finance & Business Leadership reviews. This is a high-visibility role with exposure to senior leaders across different Finance teams. As such, the ideal candidate must possess good analytical and modelling skills, strong communication and relationship-building skills, and the ability to collaborate seamlessly with colleagues across organization.

Responsibilities

  • Proven Analytical, Organizational and Problems solving skills with the ability to work with limited supervision

  • Strong relationship building, interpersonal and communication skills

  • Has demonstrated high levels of personal accountability and flexibility to prioritize and meet deadlines

  • Managing GNS P&L, identification of risks/opportunities, implementation of cost controls, and provision of meaningful commentaries and analysis

  • Participate in the Annual and Long-Range planning processes for the GNS BU

  • Partner with multiple stakeholders across BU FP&A, Market & Lead Financial Officer (LFO) teams, FDS, Risk Finance and Controllership

Minimum Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience of Amex systems for forecasting and management results (e.g. TM1 and Oracle), Essbase, Oracle, and PC skills including proven proficiency in the use of MS Excel, PowerPoint.

  • Ability to manage time and effectively prioritize multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines

  • Identifies ways to do things differently that will continuously improve the business

  • Highly motivated and productive and seeks additional opportunities when not busy with normal workload

  • Good interpersonal and team player who can build and deepen relationships and collaborate across the team or the 'matrix' to deliver outstanding results

  • Interprets financial information to identify profitability drivers and other factors impacting business performance

  • Demonstrates personal excellence on a day to day basis and is totally reliable and consistent when dealing with others

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Finance professional, preferably with finance / accountancy degree and/or a recognized Accountancy qualification or having relevant experience

  • Proactively supports colleagues and collaborates with them to achieve targets
