Description

The Demand Planner leads the Sales & Operations Planning process for Surgical Vision, to ensure the effectiveness of the process. A key objective to ensure the accuracy of our demand forecast and timely communication of any potential demand changes to Regional Planning team & suppliers.

This role is also responsible for ensuring the availability of the stocks and effective inventory management to minimize inventory write offs due to excess, slow moving and obsolete stock, and ensure stock levels are correct to service the business.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular Sales & Operations Planning meetings with relevant Sales & Marketing & Finance team members (standard agenda items are all covered)

• Ensure minutes are recorded for all meetings and all actions are followed up by action owners.

• Communicate any potential material demand changes to the Regional Planning team (RPT) demand & supply planners/source contact as soon as possible

• Support continuous improvement projects taking us from S&OP to IBP

• Maintain 24 months forecasts for inventory

• Review exception list & obtain marketing feedback

• Working with source forecasting system to ensure latest marketing intelligence are reflected in the forecast

• Maintaining sufficient safety stocks as per agreed levels

• Work with all stakeholders to ensure supply chain readiness for timely New Product Introduction

• Work with Regional Planning team & Marketing to decide phase in/out strategy and the optimal inventory levels to maximise sales opportunities

• Product Portfolio review & recommend product rationalisation based on demand forecast

• Provide timely demand change information to Regional planning team

• Validate weekly replenishment schedule

• Prepare all KPIs for Franchise/Division responsible for (OTIF, MAPE, BIAS Inventory)

• Analyse results & implement actions for improvements

• Gain general knowledge of franchise product range and relevant surgical applications

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• 8 years’ experience in Supply Chain or related fields

• Medical Device or FMCG background

• Experience in forecasting and MRP planning

• Experienced with advanced planning systems such as OMP

• Experience in S&OP or IBP

• Integrity & Credo values

• Good SAP knowledge

• Excellent problem solving & analytical skills

• Intermediate/advance Excel skills

• Intermediate reporting and data visualization skills (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) an advantage

• Good understanding of end-to-end planning processes and Supply Chain knowledge
