Robert Half is partnering with a well established industrial services company on the Westbank of New Orleans in search of a dedicated Accounting Clerk. This role involves performing a variety of accounting and clerical tasks related to accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Responsibilities:

• Processing accounts payable and receivable transactions with a high level of accuracy

• Maintaining the accounts payable and accounts receivable ledger up to date

• Sending, receiving, and logging invoices in a timely manner

• Ensuring the company pays invoices and bills on time by reviewing them with the accounting manager and following up with clients

• Verifying expense reports and preparing analyses of accounts

• Producing monthly reports to track financial status and progress

• Responding to vendor inquiries regarding finance and payment issues

• Preparing tool tickets for job cost entry

• Performing additional accounting duties as directed by the controller or accounting manager.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processing

• Experience with Billing procedures and practices

• Ability to perform accurate and efficient Data Entry

• Experience in Invoice Processing

• Strong mathematical and analytical skills

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

• Familiarity with accounting software and programs

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
