JOB REQUIREMENTS: We are seeking an experienced Teen Respite Provider to support a male teen with special needs at his home in Hartland, WI or in the community. Respite services allows his main caregivers time for a break from their caregiving responsibilities and to self-care a few times per month. The ideal candidate will provide companionship and supervision to ensure the well-being and comfort of the client and be able to confidently redirect behaviors when needed. CNA certification is preferred, but not required, if applicant has caregiving experience with special needs children/teens. Pay: \$18.42 per hour Schedule: 15 hours per month. Family prefers shifts of 5-7 hours per week - 2x -3x per month on a Friday evening or a Saturday day or evening shift. Responsibilities Provide personal care and assistance to a young male with developmental disability/special needs, to ensure their comfort and safety. Engage client in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive engagement. Be mindful of behaviors and redirect when necessary. Observe and report any changes in the clients\' physical or emotional conditions to family as needed. Skills Experience with clients who are non-verbal. Experience with clients with physical behaviors and the ability to redirect when necessary. Familiarity with CPR techniques and emergency response protocols. Strong observational skills to monitor client well-being effectively. Excellent communication skills to interact with the client A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
