DEFTEC E-commerce Manager in Hartland, Wisconsin

The E-commerce Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of the online retail presence. This includes managing the e-commerce website, optimizing user experience, and maximizing online sales. This role requires a data-driven mindset and a deep understanding of e-commerce best practices. You will work closely with product, customer success, and marketing teams to ensure that our e-commerce platform delivers an outstanding shopping experience, aligning with our brand values. The ideal candidate will stay ahead of market trends to continuously enhance the digital retail experience.

Essential Responsibilities

Define and execute a leading e-commerce, digital-first sales strategy

Execute the e-commerce strategy to achieve sales targets and growth objectives

Identify opportunities for growth and improvement in the online retail space.

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the e-commerce website, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly experience.

Collaborate with marketing, sales, and customer service teams to align e-commerce strategies with overall business objectives.

Optimize the user experience (UX) on our website to improve conversion rates, customer retention, and overall satisfaction.

Translate wireframes, flows, and mocks into high-level code (typically HTML, AMP, CSS, and JavaScript)

Coordinate with IT and UX/UI Designers to implement site enhancements and updates.

Ensure the technical feasibility of interface designs performed by designers on the team. This may include, but is not limited to: websites, landing pages, coded prototypes, and emails

Collaborate with IT to improve usability and troubleshoot issues.

Partner with the Marketing Analyst to monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of e-commerce initiatives.

Lead A/B testing strategy and personalization efforts by creating Javascript and HTML components in Monetate software

Use workflow in Asana (project management software) and Azure DevOps to appropriately manage jobs by deadline and priority

Work with IT and security teams to ensure the safety and security of online transactions

Establish and manage relationships with third-party vendors, payment gateways, and other e-commerce service providers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

5 or more years of relevant experience in e-commerce management, preferably in a retail environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, technologies, and trends.

Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3/LESS/SASS, JavaScript/ jQuery skills. CMS and C# knowledge is a plus. Ability to translate UI designs into code. Functional knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud- (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, etc.)
