Description

Greater Hartford client is in need of a Senior Accountant for a 3-6 month engagement. The Senior Accountant will help with tie-ing out prior year financial statements and account balances. The Senior Accountant will need to develop supporting documentation for prior period balances, and prepare adjustment and reconciliations as necessary. Quickbooks experience preferred, manufacturing industry experience required.

Requirements • Proven experience as a Sr. Accountant or similar role in the accounting field

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks

• Solid understanding of the General Ledger

• Capable of performing Bank Reconciliations, Account Reconciliation, and Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Experience in preparing and posting Journal Entries

• Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail

• Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field

• Professional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
