When hospitals cannot provide the advanced care, expertise and new treatment options for their patients require, they turn to us. The Storeroom is a vital part of the hospital; the storeroom remains open on a 24 hour basis. The department works together to ensure the needs of our patients, visitors and staff are met in a timely, courteous manner. This includes working closely with clinical teams to provided medical supplies as needed in a timely manner. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: · Support Clinical Department inventory availability via the use of Clinical Inventory Management Systems · Physical receipt and inspection of incoming orders. Validates order type, quantity, and condition against ERP purchase order, as needed. · Electronic receipt of purchase orders in ERP. Puts away product according to department procedures or deliver to end user as required. · Maintains system identified inventory levels of supplies for delivery by rotating and reviewing expiration dates. Handles product so that department cycle count metrics are achieved. · Delivers supplies, as needed, in response to customers' requests. · Manages clinical departments inventory with the use of modern technologies including but not limited to automated supply cabinets and bar code scanners. · Prepares packs, and ships packages using the facilities dedicated shipping partners. · Supports the Inventory Control Specialist to manage inventory and achieve department KPIs as required. · Audits order errors to improve supply availability, customer satisfaction, and inventory management as required. _Education:_ · High school or equivalent required. _Minimum Experience:_ · 2-3 years’ experience in Supply Chain · 1-2 years’ experience leading people and processes. · Read/write English required. · Excellent math, computer, and interpersonal skills. · Ability to do heavy lifting.
