Description Put your problem-solving skills to work as a Senior Accountant in the Manufacturing industry at Robert Half, now offering a short-term contract / contract opportunity. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. What you get to do every single day

  • Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

  • Be a part of various department-wide initiatives

  • Compose Balance Sheet account reconciliations

  • Function with business partners to ensure compliance with procedures and controls, corporate accounting policies, and provide support on special requests

  • Coordinate quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

  • Ad-hoc projects as necessary

  • Analyze financial results (benchmarks, trends, performance metrics)

  • Arrange monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

  • Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP Requirements - Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

  • Financial reporting systems proficiency is a plus

  • Current and relevant ERP system experience

  • Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience

  • BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

  • General familiarity with SAP

  • Financial Statement experience highly desired

  • Comprehensive knowledge of month end closings

  • Account reconciliation experience

  • Bank reconciliations experience preferred

  • Adeptness in Microsoft Excel

  • Demonstrated knowledge of SAP

  • Deep understanding of financial reporting

  • Outstanding skills in analyzing financial data and promptly generating accurate reports

  • Strong organization skills

  • Notable analytical, quantitative and social skills

  • Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment

  • Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

  • Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines

  • Ability to work well with functional department managers

  • Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
