Robert Half Receptionist in Hartford, Connecticut

Description We are seeking a Receptionist to join our team in the Education industry, based in Hartford, Connecticut. As a Receptionist, you will play a key role in providing administrative support and maintaining smooth day-to-day operations. Your responsibilities will include handling incoming calls, managing office supplies, and assisting with various administrative tasks. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Handle and direct incoming phone calls, ensuring all inquiries are addressed in a timely and professional manner.

• Maintain and manage various office files, providing general office filing support as needed.

• Welcome and assist visitors, providing a positive and professional first point of contact.

• Manage and allocate incoming mail according to specified procedures, ensuring all communications are correctly distributed.

• Assist other administrative staff with overflow work, this may include tasks such as data entry, word processing, and internet research.

• Order and manage office and kitchen supplies, ensuring the workplace is well-stocked and organized.

• Use Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Teams proficiently to manage communications and tasks.

• Exhibit strong organizational skills and self-motivation in order to prioritize tasks and work efficiently.

• Demonstrate excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks.

• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, fostering positive relationships throughout all levels of the company. Requirements • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Teams

• Capable of managing direct phone calls efficiently

• Excellent email communication skills

• Prior experience in an educational setting is preferred

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

• Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with various stakeholders

• Familiarity with office equipment such as printers, fax machines, and scanners

• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle unexpected situations professionally
