Job Description
Partners with customers, sales, engineering and product teams to design, demonstrate and deploy Oracle Cloud architectures that address customer business problems. Drives Oracle Cloud customer consumption by accelerating the adoption of Oracle cloud services including discovery, design and deployment. Engages with strategic customers, builds leadership relationships at multiple levels within organizations in order to design and implement solutions. Works directly with customers to gather requirements, develop architectures and translates business needs into solutions. May implement solutions and ensure successful deployments through code development and scripting. Displays product/application understanding through highly customized presentation demonstrations to customers, and at conferences, and events. Supports customer from Proof of Concept (POC) through production deployment of services via resource configuration, planning, and customer education/training. Creates and distributes technical assets (white papers, solution code, blog posts, and video demonstrations). Serves as a leading contributor for customers and sales on technical cloud solutions and customer success. Identifies gaps and enhancements to influence engineering roadmaps for customer driven features. Leading contributor, may provide direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. May interact with C level. Maintains expertise by staying current on emerging technologies.
Minimum qualifications include: 8 years experience with computer applications and tools required. Ability to travel 50% international and domestic.
Preferred but not required qualifications include: Bachelor of Science-level university degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering from accredited university; and/or relevant 8 years technical experience. Advanced degree in relevant field of studies highly desirable. Expertise in and an in depth and thorough knowledge of competitive and industry knowledge in the field of computer applications and tools; System and application design; Implementation of advanced product features; Project management; Solving technical problems with customers in technical environments; Written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; Needs analysis, positioning, and business justification. 8 years experience and expertise in the clear communication of technical information to others through presentations, demonstrations, written communication and consultative solutioning experience.

About the Role:
We are seeking candidates for Principal Cloud Architect – Integration position within our Specialist Solution Engineering team. As an Integration Architect you should be an experienced professional who has a broad understanding of Cloud architecture, with on-premise application integration to SaaS & 3 rd party on-premise applications as well as ELT processes that involves replication. This requires hands-on software development lifecycle experience working with technical integration implementation or other similar technologies. OCI is the next generation cloud service built from the grounds-up to support fast paced application requirements, addressing a wide range of customer use cases. Our team of Cloud Engineers are responsible for the application modernization on OCI. You will be a part of a diverse team working closely with Oracle Sales and leadership to build and expand customer’s OCI footprint, by effectively engaging with customer from Pitch-to-Production lifecycle of a customer workload.
Our Engineers are deep technical domain experts, who are responsible for both explaining and showing how Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure Solutions solve real-world business challenges. They work closely with field Cloud Architects to help craft the solution and then continue to collaborate with the customer on implementation of these solutions.
Work Timings:
Oracle offers flexible work options aligned with our North American customer timezones, usually 9AM to 5PM, and promote work/life balance for all of our diverse employees. Since this is a customer-facing role, the engineer needs to be able to communicate & collaborate effectively with our customers and other Oracle teams in the US and other countries.
Responsibilities include:
Plan, Configure, Deploy and Operate a cloud solution.
Cloud Architects are chartered with accelerating pipeline and cloud consumption for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services, workloads and use-cases.
Understanding Customer’s business requirements and leading technical solution development using Oracle’s cloud capabilities.
Deliver Proof of Concepts for new solutions on Oracle Cloud.
Develop collaborative working relationships with sales, product management, development and other functional areas within Oracle, continuously contributing towards Product enhancements and increasing Cloud consumption.
Execute on engagement including coordinating scoping and delivery in a timeline for delivery engagements.
Build and nurture relationships with North America Customers / Partners to drive various enablement and implementation activities on OCI.
Preferred qualifications include:
A minimum of 8 years of hands-on IT experience, developing at least more than one full life-cycle project leveraging Cloud such as OCI, AWS, GCP, Azure etc.
Expertise in OCI Data Integration (OCI DI), Golden Gate, Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
Integration based solution delivery in using any integration technologies like OIC, Oracle SOA Suite, MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Apigee etc.
Experience in creating datalake architectures, ELT operations to deliver business continuity through replication.
Experience in high availability architecture in cloud and on-premise
Experience integrating any SaaS applications such as Fusion HCM, Workday, Salesforce or on-premise applications such as EBS, JD Edwards, PeopleSoft etc.
Experience in Integrating with Databases, Files, Event driven systems, JMS etc.
Experience in rehosting or migrating applications from on-premise to cloud is a plus
Ability to apply design patterns and architectural principles
Education and Certification:
A BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent or related technical field
Cloud (OCI/AWS/Azure/GCP/other) Architect Associate level certification is a must

US: Hiring Range: from $113,000 to $185,200 per annum. May be eligible for equity. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 70/30.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
