Job Description:

Join Pitney Bowes as a CDL A Truck Driver - 2nd Shift float schedule in Hartford, Connecticut!

Your work float schedule will be Monday through Friday from 10:00AM – 7:00PM based off of your route.

Your hourly Pay: $29.50, paid weekly with an opportunity for overtime.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily Log Maintenance: Keep a detailed driver’s log or route sheet for mileage, stops, and cargo, or utilize the ELD system.

  • Schedule Adherence: Maintain pickup and delivery schedules, meeting deadlines using software tools.

  • Vehicle and Work Area Cleanliness: Ensure your vehicle and work area are clean and well-maintained.

  • Safety and Security: Understand and follow all safety and security precautions and company policies.

  • Attendance: Maintain regular attendance.

  • Technology Use: Utilize all required cell phone applications effectively.

  • Policy Compliance: Demonstrate and adhere to safety and security precautions and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years old.

  • Licensing: Hold a valid Class A License and meet applicable DOT requirements for CDL.

  • Experience: Have a minimum of six months of verifiable driving experience and at least 50,000 miles in the last five years driving a tractor-trailer (semi) truck with a safe driving record.

  • Physical Ability: Capable of lifting at least 50 lbs., walking, standing, stooping, and bending with or without accommodations.

  • Flexibility: Ability to work mandatory overtime, which may include weekends, holidays, and/or different shifts with little or no advance notice.

  • Language Skills: Basic understanding of English to comprehend and follow safety and operational directions communicated in English.

Pitney Bowes Presort Services performs mail sorting; performing some of the work that would typically be performed by the USPS®. For completing this work, Presort Services receives discounted postage rates. By performing this sorting work on behalf of our clients, we are able to share a portion of that discount with them. Our national network of operating centers processes over 17 billion pieces of mail annually. We provide mailers with end-to-end solutions from pick-up at their location into delivery into the postal system network, providing optimal postage savings.
