Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What Is the Opportunity?

The Billing & Payment Services Team is responsible for a wide variety of billing and accounting tasks. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a high volume of billing requests, processing payments and financial transactions and building and maintaining customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, experience with billing and customer service, excellent communications skills both written and verbal and a desire to learn and grow in an everchanging environment.

What Will You Do?

As part of the Billing & Payment Services team you will be trained and developing experience to :

  • Handle inbound inquiries via emails, chats and/or other methods.

  • Navigate multiple systems and platforms simultaneously while researching intermediate to advanced billing and financial inquiries.

  • Accurately analyze, research, and process billing transactions.

  • Correspond with customers, agents, Business Centers, financial institutions and vendors.

  • Reconcile transactions with the billing system. Examples include researching and applying/handling payments or refunds, resolving problems related to financial transactions, and resolving billing or banking discrepancies.

  • Process payments through inbound phone calls.

  • May support departmental projects and initiatives and take on other developmental opportunities.

  • Accurately and appropriately complete Ad-hoc requests.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • Prior customer service/billing experience preferred.

  • Analytical thinking and judgement

  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and be able to multi-task in order to meet deadlines and balance timeliness and accuracy.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly convey information to various audiences while showing empathy and understanding of the customer’s needs.

  • Proficiency utilizing technology, including the ability to navigate across multiple systems simultaneously.

  • Ability to analyze information and think critically to make informed decisions.

  • Organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle shifting priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

  • Flexibility and resiliency to navigate change.

  • Desire to continuously acquire new skills and knowledge.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Intermediate skills with commonly used office software including Excel, Word, Access Outlook and PowerPoint.

  • Maintains a professional image.

What is a Must Have?

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • One year work experience in Billing or Collections required.
